What conversation did you have this week? What frustrated you? What excited you?

2. Which pillar does it connect to?

Mobility? Disability-led design? Participatory approach? Personal story?

3. What's the angle?
  • Teach: "Here's how to..."
  • Tell: "Here's what happened when..."
  • Argue: "Here's why X is wrong..."
  • Reflect: "Here's what I learned..."
4. What format fits?
  • Short (tweet/thread): One insight, strong take
  • Medium (newsletter): Story + lesson + call to action
  • Long (essay/chapter): Deep exploration, multiple threads

  • Start with a specific moment or conversation
  • Let your engineering brain structure the argument
  • Don't hide the disabilityโ€”lead with it
  • Use technical precision but human warmth
  • End with forward momentum, not conclusions

Avoid:

  • Explaining disability to non-disabled audiences
  • Being too academic or jargon-heavy
  • Hedging your opinions
